School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Role

Step into an engaging school-based speech-language pathology role, supporting both middle and high school learners in a vibrant educational setting. This contract opportunity is available immediately, offering a full-time workload of 40 hours per weekthough part-time arrangements can be discussed if preferred. The position is structured to run through December, with the potential for extension into the remainder of the school year, which will be discussed and confirmed in November to provide ample notice.

Your expertise will make a direct impact as you support students, including those in center-based programs where communication needs are a priority. With a smaller student population, you'll have the chance to work closely with individuals and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in both schools. Typical work hours are from 7:35 a.m. to 3:35 p.m., but there is room for flexibility to ensure the schedule suits your needs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
• Previous experience or strong interest in a school-based setting, especially with middle and high school students
• Ability to support students with diverse communication needs, including those in specialized center-based programs
• Strong collaborative and communication skills
• Flexibility to split time between two buildings

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapy to students with speech, language, and communication challenges
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Consult and collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
• Maintain accurate records and progress documentation
• Participate in team meetings and support a positive learning environment
