As a Security Officer - Part Time in Skokie, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 03:00 PMTue07:00 AM - 03:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related concerns in a professional manner.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or emergency situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with mall management and/or public emergency responders as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shopping center, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential issues.
- Monitor entrances, storefront corridors, and high-traffic locations to help to deter unauthorized activity, loitering, and/or policy violations.
- Complete required reports, document observed conditions and/or incidents, and relay important information to Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
