School Secretary

DESCRIPTION:
Under the supervision of the school principal, the school secretary processes confidential personnel information for employees assigned to his/her supervisor, receives and manages correspondence, maintains financial information, provides secretarial services, and oversees the office operation at his/her site.
GENERAL DUTIES:
1. Receives, sorts, and prioritizes correspondence and communications for the school executive to which he/she is assigned.
2. Acts as secretary to the principal to which he/she is assigned.
3. Manages confidential personnel records and communications as assigned.
4. Manages and maintains fiscal records for the office to which he/she is assigned.
5. Oversees the operation of the office and the performance of other employees in the office to which he/she is assigned.
6. Utilizes data processing system to perform tasks such as student attendance.
7. Orders and maintains inventory of necessary office supplies.
8. Manages the Student Body records as needed.
9. Maintains records and submits reports of personnel absences as well as substitute replacements.
10. Performs other office operation duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Advance training in computers, bookkeeping, and office skills or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of Aeries Student Information System Desired
Bilingual Desired: English/Spanish or English/Portuguese
