Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Float Pool
Sinai
LifeBridge Health is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Float Pool within the Healthcare & Medical Services department. As a Float Pool LPN, you will provide direct, hands-on nursing care across a variety of inpatient and outpatient units, supporting diverse patient populations and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary care teams.
In this role, you will deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care by performing patient assessments within the LPN scope of practice, administering medications, assisting with treatments and procedures, and monitoring patient responses. You will work collaboratively with RNs, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans, update documentation in the electronic medical record, and ensure timely communication of changes in patient condition. Because you are part of the Float Pool, you will rotate between different clinical areas based on organizational needs, which may include medical-surgical, telemetry, step-down, behavioral health, rehabilitation, and selected specialty units as appropriate to your training and competencies.
You will be expected to demonstrate strong clinical judgment within the LPN scope, excellent time management, and the flexibility to adapt quickly to new environments, workflows, and patient acuity levels. Responsibilities include performing and documenting vital signs, wound care, specimen collection, IV therapy as permitted by state regulations and hospital policy, and assisting with diagnostic tests and procedures. You will provide patient and family education on diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions, always emphasizing compassionate, culturally sensitive communication.
As a member of LifeBridge Health, you will embody our culture of collaboration, innovation, and community engagement. You will actively participate in unit huddles, safety initiatives, and performance improvement activities, contributing ideas that support continuous improvement in patient outcomes and the patient experience. You will adhere to infection prevention standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies while promoting a safe and respectful environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
This position is ideal for an LPN who enjoys variety in clinical assignments, values teamwork, and is motivated to build broad-based clinical experience. LifeBridge Health supports ongoing professional development through orientation to multiple units, access to continuing education, competency-based training, and opportunities for career advancement within our regional healthcare system. By joining the Float Pool, you will play a vital role in ensuring consistent, high-quality care across the organization, helping to meet patient care demands while gaining exposure to a wide range of clinical settings and specialties.
Candidates should bring a strong foundation in fundamental nursing skills, confidence in working in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families in Maryland’s diverse communities.
