DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Team oriented Peer support Fast‑paced work environment

SCHEDULE

Per-diem 1st Shift, typically 6am‑3:30pm; rotating weekends and holidays may be required

LOCATION

Baystate Franklin Hospital Greenfield, MA Onsite parking

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain a sanitary environment in the work area. Clean and sanitize all work areas after completing job tasks in accordance with National Restaurant Association Guidelines, and follow NRA standards for separation of raw/cooked uses. Keep the work station clean throughout the shift, including cabinets, counters, and shelves. Practice proper infection control: wash hands in accordance with departmental standards, use hair restraints as directed, maintain a neat uniform, and use gloves when preparing ready‑to‑eat products. Follow safe procedures for knife use and sanitize equipment to prevent cross‑contamination. Set up and maintain the work station for serving customers/patients. Gather all necessary tools and equipment, keep the station within specified time frames, and manage food, dish, and utensil stock, re‑ordering as needed with minimal interruptions in service. Develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships. Foster professionalism and courtesy with peers, guests, and other hospital employees, and promote positive rapport with customers, guests, and patients. Respond to staffing needs. Identify assistance opportunities, utilize available resources, anticipate operational requirements, and demonstrate flexibility in moving between positions to support departmental productivity without compromising work quality. Provide customer‑friendly service. Display a positive attitude and concern for customers, communicate effectively and courteously with patients, visitors, and staff, and uphold a customer‑service approach as observed by supervisors and coworkers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma, GED, or High School equivalency preferred

COMPENSATION

Note: The compensation range(s) represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. A new hire can expect a starting salary in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary based on relevant experience and will be determined by position. Pay ranges are listed hourly for non‑exempt employees. Minimum – Midpoint – Maximum: $16.34 – $18.78 – $21.46
