Location: Clayton, NC 27520 Pay rate: $24.00 - $24.50/hr Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday (Core facility hours may extend to 5:00 PM). Term: 3-Month Contract Assignment Project Scope: Focused short-term inventory alignment initiative.

Overview

The Production Planning & Inventory Control Associate is responsible for comprehensive plasma inventory management and production scheduling for inbound and outbound plasma deliveries at the Plasma Logistics Center. This role requires a combination of strict compliance review, technical system entry, and analytical troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to follow up on operational leads when researching inventory discrepancies and evaluate atypical situations to minimize potential facility risks.

Job Specifications

Key Responsibilities

• Inbound Shipment Document Review: Perform meticulous document quality reviews for inbound shipments arriving from donor centers. Verify that physical inventory units match system logs exactly, check for required signatures, and ensure all field data is accurate, complete, and fully legible.
• Donor Center Interfacing: Partner and interact directly with external donor center management teams to resolve documentation discrepancies, clarify processing gaps, and enforce proper data standards.
• Inventory Control & Data Entry: Execute high-volume, precise data entry tasks across key corporate logistics platforms, specifically utilizing the SAP Accounting System Database and the SGP Plasma Management System to track raw components and schedule shipments.
• Production Scheduling: Maintain accurate scheduling timelines for inbound and outbound plasma loads to ensure a fluid workflow across the logistics network.
• Risk Evaluation & Problem Resolution: Apply critical thinking and evaluation skills to isolate atypical administrative or inventory bottlenecks. Trace operational clues to find the root cause of discrepancies and recommend actionable solutions to minimize or eliminate compliance risks.
• Compliance Maintenance: Maintain active training, operational knowledge, and alignment with all current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Must Have Skills / Requirements

• Technical Logistics Literacy: Functional working knowledge of standard enterprise inventory control frameworks, Microsoft Office Suite, and internal incident tracking systems.
• Analytical Research Capabilities: A proven ability to think critically, follow operational clues or leads when investigating logistics discrepancies, and maintain clear judgment in high-pressure or non-routine situations.
• Communication & Professionalism: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the interpersonal confidence to guide external center managers through document corrections.
• Clerical Mastery: High attention to detail with an aptitude for recognizing small inaccuracies across dense technical forms or regulatory logs.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Direct, working familiarity with SAP data modules and SGP Plasma Management software.
• Foundational knowledge of plasma clerical operations, blood banking workflows, or specialized medical logistics.

Education & Experience

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience operating within an inventory control, production planning, or highly regulated logistics environment.
• Education: Associate degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Logistics, or a closely related field is preferred.
