Primary Details Time Type: Full time Worker Type: Employee Location: Atlanta, GA; 3340 Peachtree Road, Tower Place 100 Atlanta GA 30326 Work Arrangement: Hybrid – expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week Salary Range: $80,000–$120,000 Role Overview Support Specialty Casualty Team strategy by utilizing established guidelines and communicating with agents to evaluate risk, apply sound decision‑making and underwrite profitable business within authorized limits. Responsibilities Review, evaluate, and price business using underwriting judgment and company policy within authority limits. Underwrite insurance risks per the business plan, including negotiating rates, terms, and conditions for existing and new business. Manage production and issue of contract documentation, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations. Participate in portfolio review and analysis to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and profitability. Make accurate and timely entries in underwriting systems. Research and obtain market intelligence to support profit goals. Adhere to underwriting standards, best practice, and legal requirements to minimize risk. Collaborate with team and elevate complex issues to senior underwriting professionals. Contribute to special projects such as audits and product/process improvement initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Insurance industry experience preferred. Strong analytical, judgment, and communication skills. Ability to analyze data for decision‑making and prioritize tasks. Knowledge of insurance products, underwriting processes, Microsoft Office, and related laws and regulations. Experience with risk profiling, pricing tools, and loss models. Working knowledge of the underwriting system and market trends.
