Candidates should hold a current CA RN License and have certifications in BLS and ACLS. Experience with telemetry nursing is essential, as well as a minimum of 3 years of RN Telemetry experience. Travel experience of at least 6 months is required. The nurse will be expected to float to other units as needed. Flexibility with floating to different campuses is important, including a possibility to float to another campus. The RN will manage and care for patients on telemetry monitoring, administering medications and treatments as ordered. Responsibilities will include interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of various medical devices such as BiPAP/CPAP and telemetry equipment. The position requires strong skills in patient assessment and the ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team. Weekend work is required every other week and as needed based on unit demands. The hospital aims to provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients, frequently handling a daily census of approximately 20 patients. Highlighting patient diagnoses and special procedures will be part of the role. The RN will have access to various interpretation and support services, including physical therapy and respiratory services. This is a union facility, and travelers may float first due to staffing needs. Candidates must be willing to comply with background checks and provide accurate work history verification spanning a 7-year period.
