Litigation Paralegal – Medical Malpractice Defense Role Description An established defense litigation firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with strong medical malpractice defense experience , including pre-suit medical malpractice cases , to join their team. This is a timekeeper position requiring accurate reporting of billable hours in accordance with client guidelines. Responsibilities Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and responses. Communicate professionally with clients. Review medical records and prepare medical chronologies. Prepare non-party record subpoenas in compliance with state and federal regulations. E-file documents in state and federal courts. Locate and coordinate with expert witnesses. Prepare cases for witness interviews, depositions, mediations, and trial. Track and report billable time accurately. Qualifications Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced litigation environment. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure , especially related to medical malpractice statutes. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat or other PDF programs.
