Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Join a mission-driven organization as a Senior Accountant based in the West Loop. Position Details: Position Type: Temp to Hire Pay Rate: $35$40/hr. Salary Upon Conversion: $75K$90K Worksite: Fully Onsite (West Loop) Target Start Date: Mid to Late May Key Responsibilities: Lead and support monthly close processes Prepare and review daily bank reconciliations Generate and analyze accurate financial statements Perform month-end allocations and expense analysis Lead annual audit process, including audit schedules and coordination with external auditors Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting procedures Conduct detailed cost analysis and financial reporting Partner with auditors and provide necessary documentation Support forecasting and projections with historical financial data Handle general accounting responsibilities and ad hoc projects Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of professional accounting experience Advanced Excel skills required Experience with ERP systems (Financial Edge is a plus) Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
