Clinical Research Assistant II - Tisch Cancer Center

The Clinical Research Assistant II performs a wide variety of activities related to clinical research study on behalf of the Tisch Cancer Center, Cancer Clinical Trials, Multiple Myeloma team. The Clinical Research Assistant II supports the Clinical Research Team and P.I. in their efforts to successfully complete study related activities, including data maintenance, and related documentation.
The Tisch Cancer Center (TCC) is a vital component of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital and plays a key role in the Mount Sinai Health System, which is one of the largest health care systems in the nation. We are a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated center and provide a multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatments and clinical breakthroughs that may one day put an end to cancer.
Responsibilities- Provides organizational, administrative and clinical assistance for the Multiple Myeloma research study program such as preparing and coordinating meetings with various departments and personnel, assist in invoice and payment resolution
- Performs activities in accordance with established policies and procedures related to clinical research study protocols, including but not limited to: answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, coordinating specimen collection, assist with data entry, and review of safety reports. .
- Collects and records study data. Inputs all information accurately into database.
- Assists in preparing grant applications, IRB/GCO for submission and filings.
- Maintains source documents and subject files in accordance with hospital procedures. Ensures accurate and complete compilation of subject data through chart reviews.
- Secures, delivers and ships clinical specimens as required by the protocol.
- Collecting and processing specimens and point of care testing, preparing for exam, etc. Assists clinicians with various procedures, takes vital signs, relays instructions to patients and or families; answers calls and provides pertinent information.
- Performs other related duties.
- Associates Degree in related field or HS Diploma with equivalent related experience
- 2 years in research environment preferred

Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $16.5 - $26.5937 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
