Neurology practice located in Clarkston, Michigan, is seeking a part-time medical receptionist to join our small, solo practice. The need is for 8 hours per day, four days a week,

As a medical receptionist, you are directly involved in ensuring that we deliver excellent personalized care at all times. We are looking for someone that is warm and friendly, with a positive attitude, and can work independently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Effectively scheduling patients
• Greet patients with a smile upon their arrival and departure from the office
• Coordinate registering patients, including input of insurance information, organizing paperwork in electronic systems, collecting copays and other payments
• Creating/maintaining patient electronic charts
• Entering patient medical history, medications, test results, etc into chart
• Preparing charts and chart notes prior to office visits
• Rooming patients, check-in/check-out, providing patients with handouts/paperwork.
• Sending orders for testing and referrals, and sending completed chart notes to PCP and referring doctors
• Answering phone calls and addressing patient questions and scheduling needs. Relaying information from doctor to patients
• Obtaining prior authorization from insurance companies for tests and medications
• Office inventory
• Various administrative tasks

We are a solo neurology practice providing care to patients in Northern Oakland County.
