Supervisory Physician

Job Duties
Provides executive and supervisory leadership for clinical operations, directing medical staff, establishing work priorities and assignments, managing performance and staffing, and overseeing recruitment, retention, orientation, training, and workforce development.
Leads clinical quality, accreditation, and risk-management activities, overseeing medical audits and credentialing, implementing quality improvement plans, and addressing patient grievances, incidents, and risk concerns.
Plans and manages clinical programs, resources, and departmental operations, including developing and implementing policies and procedures, expanding or contracting patient-care services, determining resource requirements, managing budgets and contracts, and advising on equipment and facility needs.
Provides comprehensive direct primary care across the lifespan, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, preventive care, referrals and transfers, trauma and wound management, basic orthopedic procedures, prenatal/postpartum care, and family-planning services within established clinical privileges.
Collaborates with organizational and community partners to ensure coordinated patient care, working with nursing, ancillary services, other providers and facilities, case managers, social services, leadership, and tribal programs while maintaining accurate health records and promoting patient and community education.
