Assistant Manager

Location: 3708 E Galley Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80909. Position Description As an Applebee’s Assistant Manager, you will oversee all aspects of day‑to‑day restaurant operations, ensuring guests and staff have a memorable experience, managing teams, handling customer service, maintaining inventory, and supporting the overall success of the restaurant. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensure timely, friendly service in accordance with company guidelines and achieve unit objectives. Cultivate a culture aligned with Flynn Applebee’s core values and beliefs. Respond to and correct guest verbal complaints promptly. Prioritize guest contact and complete required table visits as per Flynn Applebee’s standards. Maintain departmental inventory levels and ensure accurate product preparation and presentation through line checks. Effectively schedule employees to meet sales demands. Maintain safety and security programs and promote restaurant cleanliness and sanitation. Report maintenance issues to the General Manager/Area Director promptly. Lead recruitment efforts, referrals of potential team members and management candidates. Promote and facilitate Flynn Applebee’s training procedures for new managers. Support staff development through orientation, training sessions, employee meetings, one‑on‑one coaching, performance documentation, and evaluations. Assess employee efficiency, provide fair feedback, and work with staff on development areas. Monitor employee performance and document situations that may require corrective action. Ensure compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures. Control department costs. Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines. Conduct bi‑weekly and weekly food and liquor inventories as requested. Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork. Verify that sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee’s requirements. Provide a management role model for staff. Develop proficiency in store‑related technology. Support all restaurant positions as needed, including cooking, expo, seating guests, bartending, and other roles. Participate in the Management Development Program for ongoing leadership growth. Education and Experience At least 2‑3 years of restaurant management experience. Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications (additional plus). Compensation Salary: $19.00 to $23.50 per hour, approximately $54,340 to $67,200 annually for a 50‑hour work week. Potential for a monthly bonus where applicable by location.
