Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Plumber to join a facilities maintenance team supporting a large university campus in Atlanta, GA. This position is responsible for performing plumbing repairs and installations, troubleshooting plumbing systems, completing preventative maintenance, and assisting with general building maintenance to ensure campus facilities remain safe and operational. ResponsibilitiesInstall and replace commercial and residential-grade toilets, sinks, faucets, and plumbing fixtures.
Troubleshoot and diagnose common plumbing issues, including clogged drains, faulty valves, and fixture malfunctions.
Locate, diagnose, and repair plumbing leaks throughout campus facilities.
Perform routine plumbing repairs and preventative maintenance.
Complete preventative maintenance related to campus fire and life safety systems.
Conduct routine visual preventative maintenance inspections in assigned buildings.
Assist with general building maintenance and repair tasks as needed.
Maintain a safe work environment while following all applicable plumbing codes and safety standards. #ZRNC Qualifications
Previous experience in commercial, institutional, or facilities plumbing maintenance.
Ability to install and repair plumbing fixtures independently.
Experience troubleshooting plumbing systems, valves, drains, and leaks.
Knowledge of plumbing tools, materials, and repair techniques.
General maintenance experience is preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize maintenance requests and work independently.
Preferred Experience
University, hospital, commercial building, or facilities maintenance experience.
Experience performing preventative maintenance in occupied facilities.
Familiarity with fire and life safety systems.
