Remote GEM Program Coordinator - Equity Data & Platform

Position Overview Greenlink Analytics is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized GEM Program Coordinator to join our team. This role is integral to the administration and management of the Greenlink Equity Map (GEM) – the nation's leading equity-centered data visualization tool. Their role contributes to the efficient operation and continuous improvement of the platform. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative, project and product management, and organization skills. They are creative, self-motivated, and strongly interested in energy and environmental justice. The GEM Program Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Community Initiatives. About GEM GEM is a key enabling technology for place-based policy and programming. It explicitly builds upon the feedback and direction of over 300 governments and community-based organizations. Over the past four years, Greenlink donated more than $2.2M in GEM memberships to CBOs, and GEM has enabled over 200 equitable policy processes across the country (where the data and visualizations influenced the implementation of community engagement and/or policy and program design). It contains data on 60 indicators, most of which have national coverage. GEM visually uncovers the intersections of inequities across geographies via an intuitive online interface at the county and census tract level, allowing layering of indicators to explore localized correlations and the creation of multi-indicator, stakeholder-defined indices. It integrates rigorous, peer-reviewed data from public and proprietary sources to support the creation of effective policies and programs. GEM has been featured in profiles by Grist Magazine and the Energy News Network, and awarded by Yale University. Key Responsibilities The GEM Program Coordinator will be responsible for GEM administrative and platform management, including (but not limited to): Membership Management and Engagement Oversee daily administrative operations, including member communication and customer service support Maintain platform organization, including membership tracking, data, and user guides documentation Organize memberships, including new member onboarding, existing member deadlines, membership retention strategies, and Monday.com product management Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for new and existing GEM members/project partners Collect and analyze member feedback to inform improvements and updates to the GEM tool Technical support for members and the platform Tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) & Quality Control Understand and report member use cases utilizing tracking tools, such as Mixpanel, Google Analytics, and other KPIs Perform regular data quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity Collaborate with the software developer and data scientists to update and refine the GEM dataset documentation Giving insight into new ways to track important KPIs or integrate collaboration across platforms Performing Office Hours and Technical Support Supporting Quantitative Research & Project Management Pull data and mapping images, and support data interpretation for correlation analyses Co-design GEM-related infographics and other collateral Supporting the Interim Director of Community Initiatives with Platform Development Support data visualization and indicator updates Lead project management, tracking milestones, timelines, and deliverables Reporting and solving problems with platform interfacing programs (e.g., Mixpanel, Google Analytics, SendGrid, etc.) Support with scheduling and note-taking Prepare progress reports for senior management and members Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Environmental Science / Policy, Public Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field At least 3 years of experience in project, platform, and membership management Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite Demonstrated interest in energy and environmental justice, and community engagement Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience working with data visualization tools and platforms Proficiency in data management tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Excel, Tableau, etc.) Competencies in data analytics, translation, and storytelling Experience or skills in platform design Location Remote; Greenlink is headquartered in Atlanta, GA, but our team is distributed; the supervising manager for this role will be on Pacific Standard Time (on the West Coast).
