Welder/FitterLiberty Mechanical is seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding, assembling, and fitting piping systems according to drawings, specifications, and safety requirements. The ideal candidate has strong welding and fabrication skills, pays close attention to detail, and is a team player committed to producing high-quality work.What We OfferHourly Range: $25-$36/ hr depending on experience40 hours per weekMedical, Dental, Vision plansFree Basic Life Insurance.Short- and Long-Term DisabilityCompany matched 401kCompany Cellphone if applicablePaid HolidaysPaid Time offWeekly pay periodResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbolsMeasure, cut, fit, align, and prepare pipe and piping components for weldingPerform pipe welding using applicable welding processes, including SMAW, GTAW, and/or FCAW as requiredSet up and operate welding machines, cutting equipment, grinders, and other fabrication toolsInspect completed welds and fittings to ensure they meet quality and project specificationsWork with carbon steelWork with stainless and other piping materials preferredWork with grease duct preferredMaintain proper weld profiles, dimensions, and tolerancesFollow all company, OSHA, and project-specific safety proceduresMaintain a clean and organized work areaWork effectively with other welders, fitters, supervisors, and project personnelComplete work efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safetyQualificationsPrevious experience as a pipe welder/fitter or in a similar industrial fabrication positionAbility to read and understand piping drawings and isometric diagramsProficiency with applicable pipe welding processesAbility to use measuring tools and hand/power tools safelyStrong understanding of pipe fit-up, alignment, and welding proceduresAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work in industrial environments and meet physical demands of the positionWelding certifications are preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions for extended periodsAbility to lift and handle materials and equipmentAbility to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and varying environmental conditions when requiredMust be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)Working with our Company:At Liberty Mechanical, our mission is to deliver exceptional work, quality products, and outstanding customer service to meet the specific needs of our clients in the HVAC and Energy Services industries.
