About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of supporting underserved children and youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The successful candidate will be the chief administrative officer, chief storyteller, and primary fundraising catalyst, with a focus on ethical, educated, and passionate leadership. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between active U.S. donors, a professional Board of Directors, and a dedicated team on the ground in Sarajevo. The Executive Director will be responsible for fundraising and strategic donor care, major event execution, cohesive team leadership and mentorship, board partnership, financial management, public relations, and strategic planning for national expansion. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years' of successful non-profit management experience, including direct donor cultivation and fundraising. The role requires powerful public speaking, writing, and interpersonal skills, as well as strong business acumen and the ability to manage a half-million-dollar budget. The ideal candidate will have a relational approach to development, be willing to learn about the local culture and history, and demonstrate personal characteristics of humility, confidence, grit, tenacity, and high adaptability. Experience in planning and executing charity events, and a background in working with diverse or marginalized communities, is highly valued. The Executive Director must also be committed to the Christian-aligned principles of the foundation and model Christ's love and grace in their leadership.
