Application Operations & Systems Specialist

Salary: $63,000 - 103,000 per year Requirements:
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Three or more years of professional experience.
- Experience working with SQL Server and writing or interpreting SQL queries.
- Background supporting production applications or enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with application monitoring, job scheduling, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with software testing and quality assurance practices.
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to stay composed and organized while handling production incidents.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Monitor daily production jobs and application services to confirm successful processing.
- Troubleshoot failed jobs and service interruptions.
- Oversee automated processes such as pricing updates, vendor data delivery, database uploads, and other scheduled services.
- Detect, respond to, and help resolve production system outages.
- Support software deployments, application upgrades, and database upgrades.
- Conduct quality assurance and regression testing for new software releases.
- Take part in release validation before production rollout.
- Handle requests for database backups and restorations for troubleshooting and research.
- Assist with disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation.
- Build expertise in our hosted products and operational workflows.
- Create operational documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in on-call and after-hours support rotations as needed.
- Work closely with Development, Product Support, and Information Technology to resolve operational issues.
