E-Commerce Sales Associate - Flex

Job Description The E-Commerce Sales Associate provides world-class service to guests visiting the Biltmore Shop. As a liaison between Guest Service agents and fulfillment teams, the Associate ensures compliance, order accuracy, and exceptional service. Responsibilities include collecting, sorting, and distributing orders to packing locations; importing orders for compliance and tax reporting; checking daily orders for opportunities and potential challenges; and assisting the E-Commerce Sales Supervisor with daily operations. The Associate also offers general assistance to the E-Commerce and Fulfillment Department Teams as needed. Starting pay range: $17.09/hour based on qualifications and relevant experience above minimum requirements. Flex: A position working an average of 20-29 hours per week (between 1000-1559 hours/year). Essential Job Duties Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn Biltmore software. Must maintain a service-minded philosophy with every internal guest interaction. Work as a liaison between phones and fulfillment teams to distribute orders for timely packing and shipping. Maintain general knowledge of Biltmore Shop and product assortment, and respond to inquiries from phone agents. Assist with locating merchandise for guests who have visited Biltmore and call in to order products they have seen in the shops. Ensure all orders are distributed to packing locations on time to meet delivery guarantees and guest expectations. Maintain the status of each e-commerce order to ensure they are current and notify guests of any difficulties or delays with their order. Enter all phone and shop orders to meet monthly deadlines for wine compliance and tax reporting. Assist with researching open orders and releasing them as needed. Provide general assistance and support for the Retail Department, E-Commerce, and Fulfillment Departments as needed. Must have ability to work independently and within a team. Assist the Reservation and Sales Team with inventory requests as needed. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education, training, and/or certification(s) preferred. Minimum of one year of experience in retail sales or a similar guest service setting; prior experience in a high-end retail or e-commerce environment preferred. Demonstrated commitment to providing world-class internal and external guest service. Ability to employ active listening skills; should be familiar with and/or able to quickly learn suggestive selling techniques and best practices. Solid computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office, the internet, and able to quickly learn Biltmore’s point of sale (POS) and inventory tracking systems. Knowledge of FedEx Ship Manager software is preferred, as well as basic knowledge of Excel. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; must be able to clearly, concisely, and effectively convey information verbally and in writing. Strong organizational and management skills with keen attention to detail and quality; must be able to prioritize work effectively in a dynamic environment. Must be proactive, able to take initiative, and able to exercise good judgment. Must maintain a service-minded philosophy with every internal and external guest interaction. Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn Biltmore software, along with a clear, concise, and professional email communication style. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to lift 20 pounds occasionally. Ability to visually identify products, color recognition, and distinguishing features.
