Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical TelemetryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have the experience to provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population, with a focus on stroke and neuro patients.Job DetailsShift: 3x12 hours (Day), 7:00 AM - 7:30 PMSchedule: Every other weekend and holidays as neededFloating required across all facilitiesResponsibilitiesManage daily patient care for a variety of patients with multiple co-morbidities.Engage in telemetry and remote patient monitoring.Provide feeding tube care and management.Administer and manage intravenous therapies, including accessing ports and blood product administration.Provide care for central and peripheral lines, including PICC line management and starting IVs.Apply appropriate isolation precautions and manage wound care, including wound vacs.Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient conditions.Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 during shifts.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.First-time travelers are welcome to apply.BLS and NIH Stroke certification required.Proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system.Experience in telemetry monitoring is required; experience monitoring patients on the unit is preferred.Join our team and make a difference in the lives of our patients by delivering exceptional nursing care in a supportive environment.
