Meat Cutter and Wrapper

Base pay range $16.00/hr - $23.00/hr Overview Join our meat team as a Meat Cutter. You’ll help with the quality, packaging, and display of our meat items for members. Your attention to detail and steady hand will contribute to a quality product and a positive shopping experience. You’ll be on the front lines of customer service, and your smile can make the difference between a good and a great shopping experience. Responsibilities Be a Team Member: Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicates with team members; flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas. Be an Expert: Demonstrates knowledge of floor operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepares meat products according to established standards; cuts boneless meat products; maintains product quality standards. Be a Techie: Uses digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; uses handheld technology to support production, training, and product quality with the member in mind. Be an Owner: Maintains work area according to company policies and procedures; ensures quality and date control standards; secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise; eliminates waste; assists members with purchasing decisions; ensures merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored. Be a Talent Ambassador: Acts as an advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience and modeling high-quality service and products; demonstrates energy, commitment, and passion for the work. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; follows the Open Door Policy. Completes work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and other partners; identifies priorities and deadlines; communicates progress and information; seeks opportunities for improvement and adapts to change. What you’ll do Team collaboration and flexibility to support the business needs. Operate floor and backroom tasks with emphasis on safety and quality; food safety standards; sanitation; and inventory management; cut, wrap, and present meat products per standards. Utilize digital tools to support sales and customer experience; engage with members to answer questions and assist with purchases. Maintain a clean, organized, and member-ready area; ensure proper packaging, labeling, and storage of products.
