Hyperbaric Chamber Operator, Wound Center Department, Per Diem,

Position Summary:

Functions as the operator of the mono-place hyperbaric chambers, provides for the safe operation and mechanical soundness of the hyperbaric chambers. Provides direct patient care to patient's adult patients 18 years and older in the hyperbaric chambers, supports hospital and departmental objectives as well as the mission of Palmetto General Hospital. Functions as the Hyperbaric Facility Safety Supervisor. Assists with all rehab and wound care department needs. Assists with gathering patient data, intake, documentation in EMR, Must be able to perform vital signs and tests. Transporter and transfer patients throughout the hospital and Assist Wound care RN with wound clinic setup and removal of dressings. Must be able to deliver and pickup items from several department throughout the hospital.

Position Qualification:

• Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) preferred
• Certified Hyperbaric Facility Safety Supervisor
• Experience in clinical hyperbaric, diving physiology or aerospace medicine preferred.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• Current Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) preferred.
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association

Communication Skills:

• Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) in English, ability to write legibly (clinical areas)

Must clear background and drug test required.
