About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour, Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Must have an active New York Single State RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience - IV therapy skills (blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, starting/maintaining IVs) - Knowledge of emergency care for adult patients Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, specializing in adult care. Shifts may alternate between night and day hours. Charting will be done using EPIC, and experience with this system is required. Nurses must be available to work every other holiday, if needed. The role includes managing adult patients with emergency conditions. The ratio is 1:5 for adults and geriatrics with a focus on various emergency diagnoses. Required clinical skills include management of cardiac monitoring, stroke assessment, and trauma response. Floating within the skillset will be required. Scrub color is a combination of navy blue and white. Additional skills required include triage and isolation precautions. The facility features advanced diagnostic technology and a trauma suite for critical patients. Interdisciplinary support includes teams for IV, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Emergency department experience is essential, and candidates must be ready to handle all emergency types. All required certifications must be current and valid upon submission.
