Service Manager
The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the service department. The Service Manager will lead a team of technicians, service advisors, and support staff to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and efficiency in servicing vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all service department employees, including technicians, service advisors, and support staff.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure department goals are met or exceeded.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase service department revenue and profitability.
- Ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction by resolving customer concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in the service department.
- Communicate with customers to provide updates on the status of their vehicles and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Work closely with the parts department to ensure timely availability of parts needed for repairs.
- Train and mentor service department employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Stay current on industry trends and developments to proactively address challenges and opportunities in the service department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive repair is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role in a service department at an automotive dealership.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in computer software and systems used in automotive repair and service departments.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

The Service Manager Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Salary Compensation of between $5,859.00 and $5,900.00. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.
