Facilities Maintenance Technician / Building Engineer

Aerotek is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician / Building Engineer to support a large healthcare facility.
We are looking for a well-rounded maintenance professional with experience in facility maintenance, industrial maintenance, carpentry, mechanical repair, or building maintenance . This position will be responsible for maintaining and repairing building systems and equipment throughout the facility.
Candidates do not need to come directly from a healthcare environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on maintenance experience are highly valued.
Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the facility
• Inspect building systems and equipment to identify needed repairs
• Perform carpentry, drywall, painting, door, lock, and general building repairs
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment
• Perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs
• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment and air handlers
• Assist with maintenance of steam and mechanical systems
• Respond to maintenance requests and equipment issues
• Use hand and power tools to complete repairs and installations
• Identify materials and parts needed to complete repairs
• Document completed maintenance and repairs
• Follow all facility safety procedures and maintenance standards

The underlying Mercy role includes building and equipment inspections, carpentry and general facility repairs, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC/air-handler maintenance, steam systems, preventative maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting.
Preferred Experience

• Facilities or industrial maintenance experience
• Carpentry and general construction repair
• Preventative maintenance
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Basic plumbing knowledge
• HVAC or air handler experience
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Experience working within a commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or healthcare facility
• High school diploma or GED

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
