Job Title: Cashier 

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Cashier to join our refinery-based team. This position primarily focuses on fast, accurate point-of-sale (POS) transactions while maintaining excellent customer service in a high-traffic, industrial environment. The role also requires flexibility to assist with deli operations, food preparation, stocking, and maintaining cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate POS systems efficiently and accurately, handling cash, card, and digital payments
• Provide fast, friendly, and professional customer service to refinery employees and visitors
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout and sales area
• Restock shelves, coolers, and merchandise as needed
• Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items

Deli Support Duties (as needed):

• Assist with basic food preparation (sandwiches, hot items, etc.)
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Serve food items quickly and accurately during busy periods
• Maintain cleanliness of deli equipment and food prep areas

Qualifications:

• Previous cashier or retail experience preferred
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Willingness to cross-train and assist in deli operations
• Basic understanding of food safety practices (or willingness to learn)

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced refinery setting with high customer volume during peak hours
• May require standing for extended periods
• Exposure to both retail and food service environments
• Must follow all site safety policies and procedures
