Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse Location: unspecified. This position entails providing specialized nursing care within the surgery department, supporting various surgical specialties including OBGYN, Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, and Pain Management. The role involves floating between units, with on-call responsibilities and potential weekend shifts to ensure efficient patient care throughout the surgical process.

Job Details

• Certifications & Qualifications: Valid Compact State Licensure, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS* certifications, with at least 1 year of relevant experience in a surgical setting.
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, days, minimum 40 hours per week. Variable on-call and weekend shifts, including holiday work.
• Responsibilities: Provide perioperative nursing care across Pre-operative, Operating Room, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, and Endoscopy departments. Support all areas within the surgery department, ensuring patient safety, proper documentation, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Additional Information: Experience working comprehensively through pre-op to discharge, flexibility to operate in different surgical units, and proficiency with Epic electronic medical records are essential. Must be capable of circulating C-sections and working within a critical access hospital environment.
