Respiratory Therapy Director

We are seeking a strong Respiratory Therapy Director to oversee respiratory services and help lead clinical care in our skilled nursing community.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee respiratory therapy services

• Supervise, train, and support respiratory therapy staff

• Ensure residents receive safe, effective, and timely respiratory care

• Oversee respiratory assessments, treatments, and care plans

• Monitor quality and clinical outcomes

• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards

• Work closely with nursing, physicians, rehabilitation, and other departments

• Review documentation and ensure accurate clinical records

• Assist with department scheduling and staffing

• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement

• Provide clinical guidance and education to staff

• Help develop and maintain respiratory care policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist (RT/RRT) license/certification as required

• Respiratory therapy experience

• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred

• Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred

• Strong clinical knowledge and judgment

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to lead and develop a team
