Richard Construction Inc. (RCI) is currently seeking experienced Industrial Multi-Craft Helpers.Position SummaryAn Industrial Helper-Multicraft will assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties. Will work with other crafts at levels appropriate to employee's training and skills as requested by supervisor. Must have ability to take direction from higher skilled workers or foremen. Helpers will assist with various manual needs of the construction work being performed including but not limited to moving equipment or materials, digging, retrieving equipment or materials, and any other miscellaneous support work instructed by a supervisor or a journeyman craft.RCI has various levels of Helper positions based on experience and skills ranked as follows:Helper - Multi-Craft: Performs all duties listed above.Helper I: Same as "Multi-Craft Helper" but with 95% ability or greater.Helper II: Same as "Multi-craft Helper" but with 90% ability or greater.Helper III: Same as "Multi-Craft Helper" but with 85% ability or greaterQualification Highlights:Must be able to meet all physical demands - see belowMust have experience using industrial hand tools and power toolsMust be able to regularly and reliably show up at the assigned job siteMust meet all safety and security requirements at the job sitePosition Responsibilities:Position may perform a large range of manual activities including but not limited to moving equipment or materials, digging, retrieving equipment or materials, etc.Climb onto structures or scaffolding as required in support of construction needsUses rigging and hosting devices such as chokers, chain falls, and come-alongs to move equipment/materials into placeConducts preventive maintenance such as lubrication and fixing or repairing worn partsFollows directions from supervisorRequired Qualifications:Basic knowledge of hand tools and power toolsGood problem-solving abilitiesGood aptitude and manual dexterityGood reading comprehensionAbility to work with others - Team playerGood communication skills with co-workers and supervisorsCommitment to Richard values, safety rules, and regulationsPreferred Qualifications:Richard Construction Inc. (RCI) former employee from a Reduction of Force (ROF)Former RCI employeeBasic mechanical knowledgeExperience on an industrial construction siteFormal/Technical educationCandidate Possession of Required Tools:Safety Toed BootsPhysical Requirements:Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, and liftingWill talk and hear in order to communicate effectivelyMust have good dexterity with hands and fingers to perform the precision adjustments of tools, machinery parts and controlsAble to use arms and hands to signal, grad, hold, turn, and push or pull objects such as materials, controls, and toolsWill be required to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs in weightWill occasionally work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and work off platformsCapable of working at heights up to 300 feet utilizing proper fall protection devicesWill use vision abilities to focus, see short distances, see colors, possess depth perception and peripheral visionMust be capable or working outdoors in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow, and windWill be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, earplugs/muffs, safety vests, gloves, steel toe/safety toe boots, and masks/respiratorsRCI is dedicated in providing a SAFE and Drug Free environment.RCI is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).
