Job Title: Mammography Technologist
Location: Syracuse, NY
We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join a busy breast imaging department. The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing mammography examinations and assisting with stereotactic breast procedures while providing exceptional patient care and maintaining the highest imaging quality standards.
Schedule- Day Shift
- 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology (AAS) or equivalent
- Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License/Registration (or eligibility)
- ARRT Mammography Certification required
- Current CPR Certification required
- Minimum 1 year of progressive mammography experience required
- ARRT Credentialed in Breast Mammography
- Experience with stereotactic breast procedures
- Strong knowledge of breast imaging quality assurance standards
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
- Assist with stereotactic breast imaging procedures under the direction of a radiologist.
- Prepare patients for exams and explain procedures to ensure comfort and understanding.
- Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Maintain compliance with MQSA, ACR, and departmental quality standards.
- Perform quality control procedures according to established mammography guidelines.
- Document patient information accurately within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to provide outstanding patient care.
- Maintain continuing education requirements and professional competencies.
