Position Overview

Breakthrough Rehabilitation & Treatment Center is actively seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Fairview, New Jersey. This full-time, onsite position plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for patients through evidence-based physical therapy interventions. Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced rehabilitation facility that is equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and technologies. The clinic features treatment rooms specifically designed for personalized, one-on-one therapy sessions, along with open workout spaces for group rehabilitation activities. Our culture emphasizes teamwork, collaboration, and respect among colleagues while supporting a positive and engaging atmosphere for both staff and patients. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the patient's physical status, history, and rehabilitation needs, crafting individualized treatment plans based on their unique conditions.

  • Implement and monitor treatment protocols effectively, adapting methods as necessary to accommodate changes in patient condition and response to therapy.

  • Provide education to patients and their families about rehabilitation processes, therapeutic exercises, and lifestyle modifications to enhance recovery.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

  • Regularly communicate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to coordinate patient care and ensure a multidisciplinary approach.

  • Participate in departmental and facility meetings for ongoing training, performance improvement discussions, and updates on best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients referred for orthopedic rehabilitation, including individuals recovering from surgery, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting mobility and function. You will be treating a wide range of orthopedic diagnoses, such as postoperative rehabilitation for joint replacements, sports injuries, and rehabilitation for acute back pain or neck pain, ensuring a tailored approach for each patient’s journey toward recovery.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.

  • Current Physical Therapy license in the State of New Jersey.

  • American Heart Association’s BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification required.

Preferred Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a physical therapist, particularly in an outpatient orthopedic setting, is highly desirable.

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is beneficial for maintaining efficient documentation and patient communication.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to the salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
