As a Security Officer Access Point Monitor in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic aerospace and defense location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This role blends professionalism, customer service, and clear communication while supporting a caring team that values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Control access to the location by verifying credentials, screening visitors, monitoring entry and exit points, and documenting authorized access in accordance with site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or public emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or access control concerns, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Prepare accurate reports related to visitor activity, access control events, and/or security-related incidents to help support site awareness and follow-up actions.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
