Food Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic

We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic to keep our production facility running safely and efficiently. If you enjoy solving mechanical problems, minimizing downtime, and working with a variety of equipment, this is the role for you.
What You'll Do

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant machinery and equipment
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime
Support upkeep of buildings, vehicles, and forklifts
Respond to emergency repairs quickly and effectively
Partner with vendors for parts and equipment needs
Help identify and improve workplace safety as part of the Safety Committee
Assist with general facility and equipment maintenance as needed

What You Bring

3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (plant environment preferred)
1+ year of safety committee experience in food manufacturing (preferred)
Strong skills in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, boilers, and compressors
Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems
Experience maintaining forklifts and vehicles
Organized, reliable, and able to handle emergency repairs

Physical & Work Requirements

Lift up to 75 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
Climb ladders, work at heights, and move freely throughout the facility
Comfortable in varying conditions (noise, dust, heat/cold, indoor/outdoor)
Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and equipment operation
Flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends, and on-call emergencies

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent
Technical training in mechanics or related field OR 5+ years of hands-on plant maintenance experience
Valid driver's license and forklift certification (or ability to obtain)

Other Requirements

All candidates must pass a preemployment drug screen and background check.
