CashierAs the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant, the Cashier plays a critical role in delivering the Timber experience! The Cashier is responsible for making sure every Timber guest feels welcomed, comfortable, and well taken care of. This is accomplished by warmly greeting all guests, explaining how things work to first-timers, welcoming back repeat guests, and taking orders and payment with accuracy and efficiency.Key responsibilities and accountabilities include arriving for shift on time and in proper work attire, completing opening checklist to ensure FOH is properly stocked, organized, and clean for service, greeting guests in a timely and friendly manner, identifying new guests and explaining how seating and ordering works in a clear and helpful manner, taking steps to build rapport with repeat guests, answering guest questions in a caring, helpful manner, making recommendations to assist the guest, taking guests' orders with accuracy, processing both cash and credit card payments, always thanking the guest, answering phone, taking and ringing to go orders, keeping counter organized and menus stocked throughout the shift, actively communicating with team members throughout the shift to ensure a seamless guest experience, actively assisting team members when required, following Timber protocol for handling service breakdowns/guest complaints, ringing alcohol responsibly, adhering to legal requirements and Timber standards, adhering to Timber food safety & sanitation standards throughout the shift, completing closing checklist to ensure FOH is properly shut down at end of service, completing side work duties as assigned, and may complete deep cleaning tasks, per schedule and may complete other duties as assigned.Qualification requirements include being able to pass 10 year federal background check in the airport, enjoying hospitality and serving others, high energy and stamina, able to work in a fast-paced environment and within a small working space, excellent interpersonal skills, able to perform basic mathematical calculations, able to use technology to enter guest orders and process payment, able to work calmly and effectively under pressure, able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day, able to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends, and some holidays, able to perform essential functions to company standards with reasonable accommodation, and able to communicate effectively in the primary language of the work location.
