Job Description

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery provides comprehensive patient care to mothers and newborns during antepartum, delivery, and postpartum periods. They ensure safe, high-quality care through effective assessment, planning, and intervention, while supporting patient education and family involvement.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' clinical status and developing individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions during labor and postpartum.
• Coordinate with healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
• Educate mothers and families on procedures, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to hospital standards and protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and valid State licensure.
• Proven experience in labor and delivery or women's health nursing.
• Ability to respond quickly and accurately to emergencies.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.
• Knowledge of obstetric and neonatal care standards.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
