Youth Therapist - IHBT

Job Title: Clinical Youth Therapist Location: Mansfield, Ohio Reports To: Clinical Supervisor – IHBT (Direct), Program Director – IHBT (Indirect) Job Overview As a partner in building brighter futures for youth and their families, your role will be to provide clinical support that aligns with The Village Network’s Mission, Vision & Values. Responsibilities Provide behavioral health services, including assessing therapeutic needs, establishing therapeutic relationships, and utilizing interventions to enhance overall functioning. Meet agency standards and productivity by completing documentation such as assessments, progress notes, reports, and Individual Service Plans. Serve as a contact point for families, agencies, and courts, engaging in correspondence while maintaining confidentiality. Attend staff meetings, court hearings, and other client‑related events as required. Act as clinical lead for cases by designing, writing, and coordinating individual treatment plans, reviewing external materials, discussing client progress with staff, revising plans, monitoring compliance, and participating in team and group meetings. Strive to meet the goals and objectives from TVN’s Strategic Plan. Implement TVN’s clinical models (TIC, NMT & CPS) with fidelity. Minimize high‑risk interventions such as restraints in accordance with the Six Core Strategies to create violence‑free and coercion‑free treatment environments. Work with culturally diverse populations and families. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Proficiency with computers, especially Word and Electronic Health Records (EHR). Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field. Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) required; independent licensure and prior experience desired. Valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record. Willingness to travel during the day and occasionally overnight; ability to visit clients’ homes (housing may not be handicap accessible). Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong teamwork, organizational, and time‑management abilities. Physical Demands Must comply with restraint protocols and complete extensive training. Ability to bend, stoop, lift, push, reach, and walk for extended periods. Must be able to lift 20 pounds independently. Remain alert to client needs, problems, or emergencies at all times, maintaining a safe environment. Effective verbal and written communication with all levels of personnel. Benefits Competitive salary: $60,000 – $67,000 annually. $5,000 signing bonus for new employees; additional bonuses at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year. 272 hours (34 days) of paid time off in the first year, with 6 paid holidays; PTO buyback available.
