Mobile Technician

Mobile Technician Is responsible for performing all levels of troubleshooting and repair services of customer trailers, chassis, containers, and truck bodies at a customer site using a mobile service truck. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends in addition to overtime; it requires full-time attendance. The Mobile Technician is the facing representative to the customer on the customers property or their customers property. Perform intermediate level troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks to include, but not limited to, tire replacements/flat repairs, brake adjustments/services/replacements, electrical diagnostics and repairs, ABS diagnostics and repairs, basic structural repairs on trailer chassis, sub-frames, etc. Perform annual FHWA (Federal Highway Administration) Inspections. Patch holes in trailer/container side panels and roofs ensuring all holes are sealed and watertight. Understand and demonstrate the proficient use of a cutting torch and welding equipment and perform mid-level repairs on chassis, frames, brackets, etc. Accurately complete work orders and other written materials according to established procedures Ability to accurately enter data with a computer utilizing company maintenance software Operate assigned service truck in a professional manner and according to company requirements; keep unit clean and well stocked. Keep all company provided tools and equipment clean and serviceable. Provide excellent customer service to service customers. Maintain/Build relationships with service customers. Education: High School diploma or GED Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in Semi-Trailer maintenance and repair and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills: Must display excellent sense of integrity and initiative. Travel: As needed, to and from customer properties/equipment. Valid Driver’s License A favorable background screening, physical and drug screening, and proof of work authorization in the United States is required for employment. Ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others. Other duties as assigned.
