Field Operations Engineer

Annual Salary Ranging from $90,000–$130,000, commensurate with accomplishments, performance, credentials and geography. A Day in the Life As a key member of the field team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including: Leading the field engineering that supports oversight, operation and management of our design and systems. Managing a dynamic team of operators and field technicians traveling to the site to support field engineering and operations efforts. Preparing the onsite team weekly and daily for the tasks that need to be executed to stay on track with the project schedule. Commissioning and start‑up of all new systems, focused on the technical and project specifications. Inspecting equipment delivered to the site, documenting issues and following up with suppliers. Scheduling and coordinating with the customer and other on‑site contractors to manage normal operations. Providing daily reports to the client and internal project team for site status and progress. Reporting accurately and timely on onsite conditions and tasks, processing site condition changes and treatment schedule forecasting. Ensuring onsite safety compliance for our team and associated subcontractors; developing safety literature, job hazard analysis, change reviews and health and safety plan amendments. Organizing & Supporting Developing and managing on‑site staffing schedules. Reviewing and developing drawing packages, documents and equipment included in the project. Providing copies of inspection, test and system operation reports. Supporting project team meetings with pertinent updates on progress. Planning operational activities to support 24/7 site operations. Developing Introducing additional technologies and strategies on site to improve system operation. Building relationships with stakeholders on‑site, including vendors, client operations staff and the operations team. Your Expertise and Skills Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or equivalent industry experience and certifications considered. 3–5 years of commissioning and start‑up experience of large capital projects in environmental, construction, oil & gas, chemical or power industries preferred. Familiarity with industrial piping systems, water treatment equipment or distillation equipment preferred. Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, Microsoft Office and similar tools. Excellent time management, organizational and technical communication skills. Demonstrated experience taking responsibility for high‑level tasks and driving sub‑tasks to rapid conclusion with autonomy. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and reliable transportation to the site. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills. Ability to interface with cross‑functional teams and all levels of personnel. Capacity to manage multiple assignments and adapt to changing priorities. Physical Activities While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee may be required to sit for long periods, use office equipment and computers, handle tasks with hands and fingers, and frequently perform light to medium work involving moving objects between 20–50 pounds. When In The Field, This Role May Require Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, etc. Moving oneself in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight or confined spaces. Working in low or high temperatures, depending on work site location. Performing light to medium work, including moving objects between 20–50 pounds.
