To Go Specialist

Coda Di Volpe is seeking an energetic, hospitality focused Takeout Specialist to join our team.

Concept Overview: Coda di Volpe is a Ballyhoo Hospitality concept located in Chicago’s Southport Corridor that celebrates the cuisine and traditions of Southern Italy. The menu features handmade pastas, house cured meats, and traditional Neapolitan pizzas cooked in a Stefano Ferrara wood fired oven, one of the defining elements of authentic Neapolitan pizza.

The restaurant’s warm dining room and vibrant bar program create a lively neighborhood atmosphere where food, wine, and conversation flow easily. Guests gather around the oven, communal tables, and bar to experience classic Italian cooking rooted in craftsmanship and tradition.

Job Summary:

Takeout Specialists are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner and ensuring guests get their orders without delay. As a direct link between the guest and the restaurant a Takeout Specialist plays the leading role in developing positive, lasting guest relationships by consistently delivering an excellent takeout experience every time. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, ensure smooth service operations and provide consistent, pleasant, quality service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both with guests and team members.
• Create long lasting relationships with our guests through ‘neighborhood hospitality’
• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both front and back of the house.
• The ability to learn the menu and guide the guests with their takeout orders. 
• Pack and organize guest takeout orders. 
• Prepare and process payments. 
• Work with thing party platform (Uber Eats)
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant experience.
• Proficient in Point of Sales System (Toast Preferred)
• Ability to maintain a clean working environment.
• Must pass general information and food and beverage quizzes.
• ServSafe - Safe Food Handling certification
• Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
