Location: Near Amsterdam, NY (Onsite) Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

Our growing manufacturing client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its accounting and financial operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and providing strategic financial insight to support operational performance and profitability.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong manufacturing finance experience, particularly in cost accounting and inventory management, who can partner effectively with operations and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Deliver financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making
• Present financial results and insights to leadership

Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance

• Manage cost accounting processes, including variance analysis
• Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
• Oversee inventory valuation and ensure accurate reporting

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts
• Analyze actual performance against budget and recommend corrective actions

Internal Controls & Compliance

• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures
• Coordinate internal and external audits
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and financial reporting requirements

Leadership & Collaboration

• Supervise and develop accounting staff
• Partner with operations to support business initiatives and cost management
• Maintain relationships with banking partners, auditors, and external advisors
• Foster a collaborative and team-oriented environment

Cash Flow & Financial Oversight

• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and capital expenditures
• Provide insight into financial planning and resource allocation
