Position Summary:

A physician office practice in the Sault Ste. Marie, MI area is seeking a temporary, full-time Float Medical Assistant to support clinic efficiency and direct patient care. The MA will gather medical histories, record vital signs, prepare patients and surgical packets, obtain informed consents, assist with specimen collection and minor procedures, administer injections under physician supervision, and relay test results and care plans as directed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct Patient Care: Perform routine vital signs, gather pertinent medical histories, and prepare patients for office procedures.
• Procedure & Specimen Support: Assist physicians with sample/specimen collection, obtain required informed consents, and compile surgical packets.
• Clinical Tasks: Administer injections under the direct supervision of a physician.
• Patient Communication: Communicate lab/test results and recommended care plans to patients per physician instructions.
• Clinic Operations: Float across physician office practices to ensure smooth, efficient daily operations.

Submission & Profile Requirements:

• Experience: 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience [REQUIRED].
• Certifications: Active Medical Assistant Certification and AHA BLS Certification [REQUIRED].
• Traveler Requirements: Must possess a reliable personal vehicle for the assignment and investigate local housing prior to presentation [REQUIRED].
• Radius Restriction: Must reside outside of a 100-mile radius from the facility (local candidates will not be considered) [REQUIRED].
• Profile Documentation: Updated work history, specialty-pertinent skills checklist (within 1 year), and 2 supervisory references (within 2 years) [REQUIRED].
• Preferred Background: Prior travel assignment experience [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
