Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum one year recent full-time paid clinical experience in an acute care health facility or ambulatory care facility preferred. License: Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Illinois. Certifications: BLS certification required. Must-Have: - Graduate from an accredited school of Practical Nursing. - Successful completion of coursework for medication administration (Pharmacology) as a Practical Nurse. - Must provide documentation if requested. Description: This position requires a qualified individual who is a graduate from an accredited school of Practical Nursing. Candidates must have current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Illinois. BLS certification is also required. Successful completion of pharmacology coursework is necessary. One year of recent experience in an acute care facility is preferred, though not mandatory. Floating within the scope of practice is a requirement to meet facility needs. All employees are required to float at the facility's discretion to various patient care areas, including within their specialty. Refusal to float may result in cancellation of the assignment. Clinical staff will be part of a team-based care model if floated outside of their primary competency. Compliance with the established scheduling and time-off guidelines is essential. References from recent employers will be required prior to start. This position requires attention to detail and responsiveness in meeting job expectations.
