JOB SUMMARY: Review Insurance and Benefits, send to appropriate dept to have patients be scheduled. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Class I.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Receives internal and external referrals to run eligibility and benefitsa. Receives referral form from medical provider to provide continuity of patient care.b. Obtains insurance information and contacts carrier for authorization if appropriate.c. Obtains benefit information and estimation to provide to the patient their responsibilities for upfront collection.d. Calls requested consultant to schedule an appointment within timeframe indicated.Copies all pertinent medical records and mails or faxes to consultantCross trains to provide support to business office and medical recordsOTHER SIGNIFICANT REQUIREMENTS:Consistently maintains confidentiality of patient recordsAdheres to and supports organizational policy and proceduresDemonstrates courteous, compassionate and efficient service to our customers, both internal and externalWorks cooperatively, effectively and respectfully with others.Represents the organization in a professional manner at all times.Performs other position-appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous mannerJOB QUALIFICATIONS:A. Prior work experience: One year experience in a medical clinic environment2. Technical training: None requiredE.
