Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences Assistant Professor

Sacred Heart Universitys Department of Speech Language & Hearing Sciences in the College of Health Professions invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor. We seek an educator-scholar committed to excellence in teaching student mentorship scholarly research and service who will contribute to student success the advancement of the discipline and the continued development of our academic 10-month faculty appointment offers the opportunity to engage with undergraduate and graduate students contribute to curriculum development and program assessment and pursue scholarly interests within a collaborative academic environment. The successful candidate will support student learning and professional development while contributing to the Colleges mission and the broader University :Teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate courses using effective evidence-based and inclusive teaching approaches appropriate to the discipline and course to course and curriculum development program assessment and continuous and mentor students in academic planning professional development and career preparation including supervision of scholarly capstone practicum internship or other experiential learning activities as and maintain an active program of scholarship and/or creative activity including dissemination of scholarly work and pursuit of internal or external funding as in departmental College University and professional service including faculty governance committees accreditation activities and related student recruitment retention engagement and academic current disciplinary and pedagogical expertise through ongoing professional an inclusive collaborative and collegial academic environment that supports student learning and upholds professional and academic Qualifications:Earned Ph.D. or imminent ABD with expected completion by August 2027 in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences or related Instructions:Qualified applicants are invited to submit the following materials through Sacred Heart Universitys online application portal:A letter of application outlining relevant qualifications experience and interest in the of teaching of research formal letters of recommendation on professional letterhead and an official transcript reflecting the highest conferred degree will be required upon offer of employment.
