Senior Corporate Accountant

Senior AccountantThe Senior Accountant is responsible for various month-end close duties, including account reconciliations, intercompany accounting and assisting with various internal and external financial reporting. This role partners closely with the Corporate Accounting Manager and cross-functional leaders to drive financial integrity, operational efficiency, and informed business decision-making.This is a hybrid position and will report into our Cleveland, OH offices 2-3 days a week.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.Responsible for accounting and reconciliation of accruals (benefits, insurance, audit, legal, interest etc.)Prepare the monthly lease entry and provide the trial balance for reconciliation purposesPrepare the analysis and the coding for the monthly credit card activity.Prepare intercompany billings, allocations and reconciliationsResponsible for bank account reconciliationsWork with team to improve processes and gain efficienciesAssist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of adjusting entries and accrualsAssist with external audit including preparation of audit schedules and documentation.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controlsParticipate in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controlsPerform ad hoc analysis and special projects as neededRequirementsJob RequirementsProficient with Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills preferredExcellent analytical, organization, written and verbal communicationStrong problem-solving skills to analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable itemsSelf-motivated with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlinesProactive and detail-orientedUnderstanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principlesEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field requiredCPA or CMA certification preferred3+ years of experience in an accounting or finance roleAbout UsBrook & Whittle Ltd. is one of North America's leading Sustainable Labeling Solutions providers, producing pressure sensitive, flexographic and shrink sleeve labels for many of the nation's leading brands.
