RN Infusion Nurse

Job Description Summary Provides safe, accurate and efficient patient care, including but not limited to patient assessment, review of labs and vital signs, medication safety, dose verification, and drug administration. Follows all Job Breakdown Instructions (JBIs) associated with role. Provides triage care when necessary. Communicates patient condition effectively to multidisciplinary team members. Location Oncology Consultants - Memorial City Pay Range $51,646.40 - $95,929.60 Key Performance Areas Safely and accurately administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, supportive care, and non‑oncologic agents to patients as ordered by providers. Uses Oncology Nurse’s Society (ONS) standards and guidelines. Accurately and safely disposes of biohazardous waste per OSHA and NIOSH guidelines. Is responsible for new and ongoing patient education, continual assessment, and support. Maintains thorough, accurate, and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) of treatment rendered to patients. Ensures appropriate charges are captured by following guidelines for all medications and activities. Follows proper patient identification per JBI for all encounters. Educates patients and caregivers about medications, side effects and planned treatment courses. Interacts with patient and family in a caring, professional manner. Manages telephone triage: prioritizes incoming calls and messages from patients, family, hospitals, nursing facilities, pharmacies, and physician offices, responding accordingly in an appropriate timeframe. Manages supplies: assists with inventory and re‑stocking, recommends purchases, and places stock in storage areas timely. Completes annual required safety and nursing trainings, attends mandatory staff meetings, and maintains confidentiality of all patient and employee information. Aids in training new employees as per JBIs. Is expected to work at any company location as needed, on an as‑needed basis, and may work overtime with sufficient notice. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Complies with all federal and state laws concerning patient privacy, patient rights, personnel law, safety, labor, and employment. Adheres to company and departmental policies, including IT policies and the Disaster Plan. Education Nursing Degree Job Qualifications and Requirements Nursing degree required. Certifications/Licenses Unencumbered RN License in state of employment or multi‑state license Current CPR and BLS certifications Valid Driver’s License and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed Previous Experience Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting Ability to assess patient needs and conditions, essential; must have strong critical thinking skills and ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills required Core Capabilities Analysis & Critical Thinking: solid problem solving, analysis, decision‑making, planning, time management, and organizational skills. Computer Skills: proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; EMR experience. Travel 25% Standard Core Workdays/Hours Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
