AV Service TechnicianWe are seeking an AV Service Technician with an active TS/SCI CI Poly to provide support for end-users by troubleshooting and resolving their issues. This position works closely with customers, engineers, and installation technicians to ensure a smooth end-user experience for all AV systems.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily onsite/on-call AV system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.Provide meeting and event support, including set-up, in-meeting assistance, and break down.Conduct preventative maintenance and daily AV system checks to ensure operational readiness.Deliver technical support for end-users in person and over the phone.Maintain and update system documentation and troubleshooting guides in Confluence/Jira and other ticketing systems.Provide formal and ad-hoc AV system user training to end-users.Escalate problems to engineering staff and collaborate on troubleshooting for issue resolution.Complete and maintain training certificates from manufacturers and industry associations as required.Ensure maximum issue resolution in minimum time to meet service level agreements.Maintain in-depth knowledge of AV products, services, and systems.Attend daily engineering and operations & maintenance meetings.Ensure compliance with established change management processes for system updates or changes.Provide on-call support to the customer, resolving issues by phone or in person.Maintain professional demeanor while troubleshooting issues in high-pressure settings.This position is for first shift but may require occasional compensated, ad hoc support after hours.Required QualificationsAll positions require a CI POLY. Candidates with only an SCI can be considered but will have to sit for the CI POLY after starting.1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in the setup, installation, and support of large-scale audiovisual systems.Experience coordinating or leading schedule-driven tasks.Experience directly interfacing with customers.Preferred QualificationsA four-year degree or military experience may be considered in place of job experience.AVIXA CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification.Manufacturer certifications (QSC, Cisco, Crestron, Extron, Thinklogical, etc.).Competencies in AV equipment (such as Biamp/QSC audio systems, Crestron control systems, Thinklogical control systems) for troubleshooting, and basic communication concepts and protocols.Active vendor or industry audio-visual certifications (e.g., AVIXA).Analytical thinking, and a high-level of problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand, kneel and/or crouch for long periods of time.Must be able to work in high places, as well as small, cramped places.Must be able to work in hot humid places, as well as cold places.Must pass a background screen and drug test.
