Sr Risk Analyst

The Senior Risk Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization's enterprise risk management, insurance programs, claims administration, compliance reporting, and business continuity efforts. This role serves as a key liaison among operations, finance, legal, human resources, safety, insurance brokers, and third-party administrators to ensure effective management of risk exposures and insurance-related activities. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in risk management, insurance, finance, accounting, compliance, or a related field and brings strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Salary range: Pricing is being finalized and will be included soon. Remote hires will be required to travel to our headquarters in Ankeny, IA (company paid) on their first day for orientation. PTO, holiday pay and holiday of choice 401(k) match Life insurance Short-term disability Health, dental and vision insurance Maternity/paternity leave Health savings account (HSA) Flex spending accounts (FSA) – health and dependent Insurance Program Administration Coordinate annual renewals for property, casualty, workers' compensation, cyber, management liability, professional liability, aviation, and specialty insurance programs Gather and validate renewal data from finance, operations, logistics, human resources, and other departments Serve as the primary coordinator for insurance applications and underwriting requests Work with brokers and carriers to support policy renewals, marketing efforts, and coverage reviews Track insurance policies, renewal dates, certificates, and compliance requirements Certificate of Insurance (COI) Management Manage vendor and contractor certificate of insurance compliance Coordinate certificate requests with insurance brokers and third-party vendors Monitor insurance expiration dates and follow up on renewals Support development of centralized processes and systems for vendor insurance tracking Claims Management & Reporting Administer auto, workers' compensation, property, and liability claims-tracking processes Coordinate claim submissions with insurance carriers, brokers, safety personnel, and operational teams Maintain claims databases and reporting tools Analyze loss trends and prepare reports for management review Support claims investigations and settlement documentation as needed Workers' Compensation Administration Support workers' compensation reporting and compliance activitiesPrepare payroll and exposure data for premium audits and state reporting requirements Coordinate annual workers' compensation true-up processes Assist with state-specific reporting requirements and premium submissions Risk Analysis & Reporting Analyze insurance, claims, and operational risk data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement Develop dashboards, metrics, and management reports Monitor key risk indicators and support enterprise risk initiatives Assist with budgeting and forecasting related to insurance and risk management expenses Contract & Vendor Support Review insurance requirements contained in client and vendor agreements Assist internal stakeholders in evaluating contractual insurance obligations Collaborate with Legal and Contracting teams regarding insurance-related contract language Administrative Responsibilities Maintain risk management records, reporting files, and documentation Manage relationships with insurance brokers, third-party administrators, and service providers Coordinate annual audits and compliance submissions Support special projects within finance, legal, compliance, and operations Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Insurance, or a related field 3-5 years of experience in risk management, insurance, finance, accounting, compliance, or a related analytical role Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet modeling Excellent organizational and project management skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Experience with insurance renewals, claims administration, or workers' compensation programs Knowledge of commercial insurance coverages and risk financing concepts Experience working with brokers, carriers, or third-party administrators ARM, CRIS, CPCU, or another risk management certification, or willingness to pursue one Experience in healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, food production, or another highly regulated environment Repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting, remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus #J-18808-Ljbffr
