Compensation Range: $48.29 - $65.06 per hour

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse delivers nursing care within the healthcare system, adhering to the scope of practice outlined by the Nurse Practice Act and relevant regulatory standards. This role emphasizes ethical practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics. The Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring safety in practice, integrating evidence-based principles, and recognizing their own knowledge and experience levels. They also take initiative in enhancing their own and their team's understanding through effective communication and resource utilization. Reporting safety concerns, such as hazardous conditions and medical errors, is a key responsibility. The RN must be knowledgeable about the patient demographics served and is tasked with supervising and directing team members while collaborating with other healthcare providers. Consistently setting and assessing priorities through measurable interventions aimed at improvement is essential. As both an individual practitioner and a team leader, the Registered Nurse employs the nursing process to tailor care plans to meet specific patient needs.

Position Overview

We are looking for a committed Registered Nurse to join our team at Monmouth Medical Center.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
  • 1-2 years of experience in a relevant specialty
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Proficient in computer skills

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey
  • Must hold a valid New Jersey State Driver’s License

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Clinical experience from an NLN accredited institution
  • Eligibility for Screening Certification
  • National Certification
Scheduling Requirements
  • Night Shift, 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safety in practice while adhering to evidence-based principles and advancing knowledge within the patient care team.
  • Report safety issues, including hazardous environments and medical errors.
  • Maintain knowledge of the patient population served.
  • Supervise and guide the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members, collaborating with other healthcare providers.
  • Set and evaluate priorities consistently through measurable interventions aimed at improvement.
  • Utilize the nursing process to integrate care provision and customize care plans to meet individual patient needs.
